If you have ever wanted to make your own desktop CD case calendars, you know that it is difficult to find the calendar brushes to use in photoshop. Or it was for me back when I was designing my first desktop calendars for 2014.

So I had to create my own.

I published 2 desktop calendars that year, along with a wall calendar. We sold them to support my hospital benevolent/angel fund, they are part of our rewards program, and some we gave away as gifts to clients.

Clients loved them. I did one called Tiny which measured 4x6 inches, and one called SuperTiny which was the size of a business card, 2 x 3.5 inches. Both stand up in their desktop case.

This is a set of PNG files, that you can use to create your own calendars. Whatever size you choose.  12 months, Jan-Dec 2017, each in 3 fonts- American Typewriter, Arial Black and Helvetica. 2400 pixels x 2100 pixels. 300 ppi. That you shrink down to the size that you need. PNG files have a transparent background that you turn into a brush.

If you have and know how to use photoshop, them you probably already know how to define a brush. Not everyone has photoshop, but you can use them in pixlr, a free web based photo-editing program. I've included a pdf of screenshots from pixlr.com on how to use them and define a brush using pixlr.

If you want to try pixlr using a sample brush, before purchasing the set, I've included two photos in a dropbox folder, along with the pdf. Find those files here- http://bit.ly/calendarbrushsample
